The most recent unemployment statistics for Union County released from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission showed an average unemployment rate of 11.5% in June, up from 11.1% one month previous.  The South Carolina unemployment rate for June rose to 6.7%, up 0.2% from May.  The U.S. unemployment rate reamined unchanged in June at 4.6%.
